Rooms - the room size is larger - 344-476sq ft, queen beds and a day bed are standard, so you can sleep at least 5, and a balcony. There are also interior hallways vs. outdoor ones. The rooms themselves just feel more luxurious and relaxing. Unique transportation - all three of the monorail resorts (Grand Floridian, Contemporary and Polynesian) are Deluxe, but even those without a monorail offer a boat to one or more of the parks, with the exception of Animal Kingdom Lodge (which really is its own attraction with the animals on the savanna) Dining - all the Deluxe resorts offer multiple table service restaurants, including signature dining, in addition to quick service dining. Most offer character dining as well. Amenities/Recreation - valet parking and child care centers are available at all Deluxe resorts, as well as kids activities, full room service, use of fitness center, suites, and concierge level rooms with use of a Club-level lounge. Deluxe resorts have amazing feature pools, lots of shopping, watercraft rentals and other resort activities too.
