I saw the announcement that Meet & Greets will be returning back to normal! Do we know when they be starting the Disney Dream?

Ahoy there, Meagan! Welcome aboard planDisney!

I just about fell overboard with excitement when I heard the announcement that traditional Character Greetings would be returning to Disney Cruise Line, as well as Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, and other domestic Disney Resort destinations! Us Disney Cruise Line Guests are a patient bunch, but this announcement had me ready to line up NOW for a handshake and a hug!

One of my favorite things about Disney Cruise Line is how many opportunities you and your crew will have to meet your favorite characters - it's one of my top "planDrew-approved" facts to get even the most landlubber-y landlubbers ready to set sail! From ticketed events like the storied Princess Gathering and Royal Court Royal Tea to chance meetings in the hallways and on-deck, there are magical memories everywhere! Where else can you find Goofy sleepwalking the halls in his pajamas? Like I always say, there's never a dull moment on the ships unless you want there to be!

I sailed on over to confirm with the crew about your sailing on the Disney Dream, and as of this writing, the same information in the announcement that character greetings will return in a phased approach beginning April 18, 2022 applies. Now, this is always subject to change, and we'll have to see what embarkation is like for you and your crew, but as your date is just about a month away (have you checked-in yet? Haha!) be sure to keep an eye on the "Guide to Updated Experiences" information for the latest!

Here's hoping that you and your crew will be high-fiving, hugging, and making magical memories with Captain Minnie, Captain Mickey, and all their friends in just a few short weeks, Meagan! If so, be sure to tell everyone my family says "Hi," and that we'll SEA them all soon! Thank you so much for your question, and if any others pop up as you finish planning, please drop me another line here at planDisney!

    Fair winds and following seas!
