Bright Suns, Cayden!
I'm so sorry to hear that your Handbuilt Lightsaber from Savi's Workshop is giving you trouble. Building my Lightsaber was one of my favorite experiences at
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, so I do hope you enjoyed your time handcrafting the perfect saber for you. I'll try my best to point you in the right direction to get you back in action!
So I've done a little troubleshooting on your behalf. I've found YouTube videos, read online threads, spoke with a Disneyland Cast Member and even tried to mimic your problem with my own Lightsaber. I have a few suggestions to get you started.
1. If the hilt of your Lightsaber is stuck, it is best to talk to Merchandise Guest Services before using force (not "the force") to solve the problem yourself. It is better to chat with them directly to avoid further damage to your prized possession. You can email them at Merchandise.Guest.Services@DisneyParks.com or call them at the
Merchandise Guest Services Line. Be sure to have as much information as possible on hand for this conversation. You may want to have your original receipt handy, the date of your purchase and detailed information about the issue you're experiencing.
2. If it is the battery pack itself that is stuck in place, this part of the Lightsaber operates similar to a medicine bottle. Make sure that you push and twist to release the battery pack from the Lightsaber.
3. If you have another trip on the horizon, you can always bright your Lightsaber back to
Savi's Workshop where the true professionals can have a hands-on look. I know this isn't always an option but wanted to share it just in case you planned to make the jump to hyperspace, or at least to your nearest Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge location, anytime soon.
I hope this helps guide your ship in the right direction today, Cayden. I'll send all the good vibes and Jedi mind tricks your way in your pursuit to solve this issue!
'Til the Spires,
Ashley
