    We are saving and hope to visit Disneyworld next year. I was wondering do you save money by purchasing a meal plan or is it just the advantage of not having to carry the money around with you on your trip? Thank you!

    Hi Jane - I've always saved money when I purchase the Disney Dining Plan.  You'll definitely get lots of food with the plan, and if you plan out your meals in advance, you can really minimize the amount of out of pocket dining costs you have to pay.  We save by eating a small breakfast (cereal bars, which we bring from home), as well as by sharing some of the quick service meals (which can be quite large).

    Occasionally, Walt Disney World also offers promotions with a free dining plan, which can result in huge savings.
