I have saved for several years to be able to afford to take my 3 grandsons to Disney World, they are Star Wars fans, how can I make sure they get to see Rise of the Resistance without getting them all to the park at 5 am ?

    Bright Suns, Terry!

We are thrilled to hear that you are preparing to join our Resistance forces on Batuu. As you plan for your visit, be sure that you have verified your transportation options on the day of your visit, downloaded the My Disney Experience Mobile App, and have everyone in your party connected in your My Family & Friends List in My Disney Experience. Just prior to your visit, review the boarding group process.

Although you may not need to arrive at 5:00 a.m., if the boarding group process remains the same, you will need to have everyone in your party in the park at the time you attempt to join a boarding group for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. Check the park hours for the dates of your visit. If you check them now, be sure to also re-check them just prior to the date of your visit as hours could change. Since the boarding group process begins at park opening, you need to have cleared security and be in the park just before park opening. I also recommend, as a precautionary measure, locating a Cast member who may be able to assist with the boarding group process. Stand near that Cast member as you attempt to join a boarding group. If the process does not work, you can then quickly ask the Cast member for assistance. On one of our visits, the app would not allow me to select certain members of our party to join a boarding group because it was not reading them as in the park even though they were there. Luckily, we found a Cast member who could help us but we lost precious time in those few minutes and got boarding group 101.

Consider your other plans for the day. Prior to experiencing Batuu, we had breakfast at Hollywood & Vine. After escaping the First Order, we then followed a Gatherer at Savi's Workshop and learned to build a lightsaber. Prior to leaving Batuu, we had a few drinks at Oga's Cantina with fellow travelers who had also come to join the Resistance. Our time on Batuu was AMAZING. Plan wisely and make reservations.

Terry, I trust you will persevere and join our Resistance forces on Batuu. Time is of the essence. If you have any skilled younglings with you, be sure to bring your Star Wars: Datapad. We need talented operatives who can hack into droids and translate galactic languages!

    Good journey,
    Donyell
