I want to save our snack credits for the Food & Wine Fest. Whats the best way to let cashiers know we would like to pay and not use credits for items such as bottled water?

    Hi Alison,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. I love that you’re being strategic about using your snack entitlements at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival – there are so many amazing options there, and you’re going to want to sample as many as you can!

My family visited Epcot’s International Flower & Garden Festival this year, and we took full advantage of our Disney Dining Plan at the food booths. Did you know you can purchase three eligible items at any festival booth and charge them as a Quick Service entitlement? Even if you only want to try one item, most festival booth items are great uses of your Disney Dining Plan snack entitlements – and they make for great photo ops!

I was strategic about our dining entitlements too, and made sure to always specify that, while we were on the Disney Dining Plan, we wanted to pay out of pocket for this item. You will then have the option to charge the item to your resort room using your MagicBand or to pay with cash or credit card. The Cast Members are used to people doing this and they will know exactly what to do. You’ll be able to keep track of your remaining Disney Dining Plan entitlements by looking at the bottom of your meal receipts or by checking in My Disney Experience under "My Resort Stay."

Have the best time eating and drinking around the World Showcase in just a few months, Alison! Be sure to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog, as details about festival events and menu items will be announced there.

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
