Hey there Tanya and welcome to planDisney.
Ah, the age-old question: Can
Quick-Service dining credits be exchanged for a table-service meal with
Disney Dining Plans? I have tried this many times with the same result. Unfortunately, as of now, Quick-Service meals and snacks may only be used for their designation and not to be combined for other purposes. It would be so nice if this were a possibility. However, you may be able to use your
Table Service dining credits for a Quick-Service meal if all your Quick Service meal credits are depleted and you still have Table Service dining credits available. Be sure to ask a Cast Member if you may do this before placing your order. There is no official written policy but it was allowed in previous Dining Plan programs. Of note, in the past meal credits could be exchanged for snack credits but I have not seen this to be the case with the return of Disney Dining Plans.
planDisney Pro Tip: Purchasing a dining plan is a personal choice. If you are purchasing to avoid the hassle of pulling out your credit card to pay for meals then it is worth it. If you are looking to save money then you will need to do a cost analysis based on the places you will be eating as all the menus and prices are available online.
Tanya, I hope this information helps you enjoy the delicious dishes that Mickey and the gang cook up. Please feel free to stop by again and

Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
