Hi Courtney,
Jambo! Welcome to planDisney and thank you for stopping by with your great question about your options for lodging at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.
Boy, that is a tough but fun decision you have between choosing to stay at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village or
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House. I have been lucky enough to stay in Villas on both sides of the Resort, and I understand your dilemma. You certainly can't go wrong with either choice, but each Resort has its own unique benefits. Let's get started!
At Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House, you will find this is the only side of the Resort which offers
Club Level Concierge Service. Club Level Concierge Service is such a special treat, and I am especially fond of the daily food and beverage offerings in the Club Lounge. Another perk for staying here is that there are a multitude of dining options close by such as
Boma - Flavors of Africa,
Jiko - The Cooking Place,
The Mara,
Victoria Falls Lounge, and
Uzima Springs Pool Bar.
At Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village, there are several advantages to staying here as well. One big advantage for a party of 3 adults and 2 children is that a 1 Bedroom Villa here is slightly larger and will have 2 separate bathrooms, while the 1 Bedroom Villas at Disney's Animal Kingdom - Jambo House will only have 1 bathroom. Another advantage is that the pool area boasts a longer slide and there is a separate interactive water play area for children called Uwanja Camp. Although there are fewer dining options, one of my favorite restaurants,
Sanaa, is located on this side. I encourage you to visit Sanaa no matter which side of the Resort you decide to stay and if you do I highly recommend their
Indian-style bread service.
One thing to consider when making your decision is that no matter which side of the Resort you stay, you can still visit the other side for dining and activities. So in my opinion, the main choice for you is going to be would you rather have Club Level Service or a second bathroom? For me, my practical side usually wins and I will choose a second bathroom if I have more than 2 adults.
I hope this helps you with your decision Courtney! Please come back and see us again with all of your Walt Disney World vacation planning questions.
See Ya Real Soon,
Brenda
