If I get a Savannah view at the Animal Kingdom Lodge can I really see the animals like they show in the pictures? It looks great in the pics but I wonder if that's how it will really be. It looks like you could reach out and touch them.

Hi Sarah,  my family stayed in a savanna room at the Animal Kingdom Lodge last year, and we saw loads of different animals right from our balcony.  However, they are a pretty good distance away, and you definitely couldn't touch them.  It's still an amazing view, and an experience you and your family should remember for a while.

I will point out that since the animals do roam freely through the savannas, your view will change throughout the day.  When we arrived pretty late at night, on our first day, there were no animals and we were initially disappointed.  Then, we woke up, and there was a whole family of giraffes, right there!

    Have a great vacation!
