Hi David!
Welcome to planDisney! There's a great, big beautiful
TOMORROW because your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is only a dream away!
David, the
Sassagoula River Cruise provides transportation from four hotels in the Disney Resorts Collection to
Disney Springs - Disney's Old Key West Resort, Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort, Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, and Disney's Port Orleans - French Quarter. I chatted with a friendly Cast Member this morning who shared that boat service has recently been suspended due to water levels and they have not yet been advised that it has started again. This status is subject to change though without much notice so I would encourage you to check with a Cast Member at your resort when you arrive.
If boat transportation isn't available, you should find busses running from your resort to Disney Springs during your stay. Disney Springs is full of great shopping and dining options, but this summer there's even an additional reason to check it out -
Disney Dreams That Soar! This nighttime drone show has been delighting guests for the past few weeks and is scheduled to run through September 2, 2024. You'll find designated viewing areas along the waterfront on Disney Springs West Side (available on a first-come, first-served basis) and
nightly showtimes can be found online or in your
My Disney Experience Mobile App.
If you're heading over to Disney Springs, I also recommend checking for a
reservation or
walk-up availability at one of my favorite restaurants -
Chef Art Smith's Homecomin'. I could make a meal just off of the appetizers with delicious options like the Thigh High Chicken Biscuits and Bee Haven Bay Fried Green Tomatoes. It's Southern comfort food at its best!
David, I hope this information helps you plan for your arrival tomorrow and that you enjoy a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World Resort! Please stop by to see us again at planDisney if you have any other questions in the future - we're all ears!
See ya real soon!
Kristi
