Will Santa Claus be coming back to Epcot’s American Adventures this year?

Ho ho ho, Bonnie! Welcome to planDisney.

Oh, how I love visiting EPCOT during the holiday season. I could spend a whole day exploring the countries in the World Showcase, enjoying their decorations, entertainment, holiday storytellers, and traditions! A few years ago my mom and I spent a wonderful morning doing that very thing with my Mouseketeers, and I treasure those special memories.

Santa has made his list and checked it twice, and I'm so happy to share that he will be appearing in EPCOT's American Adventure Pavilion this holiday season. Because the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays hasn't officially begun, I don't have any details to share about his appearance, but keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog and our planDisney Panel Instagram feed as we get closer to the festival's kick-off on November 26.

While you're visiting the American Adventure pavilion, don't miss the Voices of Liberty, who are singing carols and holiday tunes throughout the day. In past years there has also been a beautiful gingerbread display of U.S. monuments inside the rotunda; having lived in Washington, D.C. for many years, this always touches my heart.

As a Canadian, I must do my civic duty and recommend the special holiday poutine at Refreshment Port. Turkey, gravy, cranberry sauce, and cheese curds atop hot french fries - it's a seasonal dream come true! Check out all the delicious holiday drinks and treats in the Disney Parks Blog's Foodie Guide to the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays.

Bonnie, have so much festive fun on your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! If you have any questions as you count down to your visit, the elves here at planDisney are happy to help. Happy holidays, and enjoy it all!

Wishing you a merry and magical vacation,
    Robyn
