Hello there, Danny!
I got to experience Concierge on the Disney Dream, and it was smooth sailing, being spoiled by the Concierge Team with special amenities from the start of our vacation. Make sure you don’t miss the special Concierge Welcome Lunch in the Lounge when you board the ship so that the Concierge Team can share all of the special perks that are available on your cruise.
At this time, there are no private character meet and greets in the Concierge Lounge. I’m not sure when these will come back, but there is a chance that they may return before your sailing in October. Don’t worry if there isn’t a private character meet and greet because you’ll find plenty of opportunities to reserve character meet and greets through the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. If meet and greets are a priority for your family, I recommend logging on 30 days before you set sail at midnight EST to have the best chance of making these reservations. This is also the same time that Online Check-In becomes available.
Danny, one of the best perks of Concierge rooms is the Concierge Lounge, which is open from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily. They have delicious beverages and snacks available throughout the day that you can snack on in between your scheduled meals. I enjoyed the Lounge so much on my recent trip that I didn’t have room to eat my actual scheduled meals, so don’t forget to pace yourself!
You’ll need to check in with the Concierge Team when you board to see if there is a reserved area to view the fireworks. On many sailings, this is an option, but the Team will be able to tell you if this is available and what the details are.
May the magic be with you!Melanie
