Hi there, Monica, and welcome back to
planDisney!
Thanks for stopping by as you prepare for an idyllic dining experience at
San Angel Inn Restaurante, one of my favorite
EPCOT restaurants. This scenic eatery has been a vacation staple in my family for decades, and I'm thrilled to hear you're considering a meal here on your upcoming visit. First, to start the fiesta before arriving at
Walt Disney World, select "shellfish" on the dietary restrictions screen when finalizing your
reservation online.
Monica, when you dine at any Walt Disney World restaurant during your stay, even if you've previously noted it on your reservation, your server will kick off your meal with two critical tableside inquiries. They'll check to see if anyone will use a dining plan and ask about
food allergies or dietary restrictions. The Cast Members are very knowledgeable about ingredients and preparation methods.
My aunt has a severe shellfish allergy, and I recently dined at San Angel Inn Restaurante with her. While the kitchen setup is subject to change, and I still recommend speaking with your server about your allergy and cross-contamination concerns, she sampled several menu items (including the Tacos de Ribeye) without a problem. Our group shared a few dishes during our evening meal, and our favorites were the Tostadas de Pollo appetizer and Enchiladas de Pollo entree. If you like margaritas, check out the signature drinks menu. The Cucumber Margarita is a refreshing treat on a hot day. ¡Buen provecho, Monica!
I hope this is helpful and you have a wonderful visit to EPCOT. Before I bid you adiós, I'll share one final tip regarding San Angel Inn Restaurante. In addition to the food, the other star of the show here is the ambiance. I like to make a reservation for the earliest lunch or dinner seating and, upon arrival, request a waterside table. It's not guaranteed, but dining at an off-peak time usually affords you the best chance at your preferred location. Thanks again for bringing your question to us, and we look forward to welcoming you "home" soon.
Buen viaje,
Betsy
