Is there a sample DP itenerarty for a family with kids ? We don't want to miss any "must do" dining experiences during our 6 night trip in Sept. 2012. Manly concerned w/ TS reservations incld. Character meals & how to fit it all in. Thanx

    Hello Jessica,

I think planning a Disney vacation is almost as much fun as going on one! I love to eat so choosing my restaurants and making my Advance Dining Reservations are a big deal.

My family tries to eat one table service meal daily. That way, we don't feel weighted down by too much food, but we feel satisfied. Here are some of my family's favorite places:
    • 'Ohana: My family makes a late dinner reservation here while on vacation. In the past, the restaurant will dim the lights and pipe in the music so you can watch Wishes, the Magic Kingdom fireworks show, from the comforts of your table.
    • Biergarten: Authentic German food served with live music and a litre of beer? Enough said!
    • Liberty Tree Tavern: My husband loves the patriotic feel. I like the vinaigrette dressing on the Declaration Salad. And if you time your reservations just right, you can finish your meal, walk out the restaurant doors, and end up on a parade route.
    • Cape May Cafe: There's just something about Goofy in his swim trunks that makes me laugh. I love starting one of my mornings here for breakfast.
I know it's popular but I will admit, I haven't yet had the pleasure of going to Chef Mickey's. Soon, though, I promise!

    Hope this helps. Happy planning!

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
