Dear Brittany, thanks so much for visiting us at planDisney! I’m happy to hear you’re thinking about a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
Brittany, although tickets are available at the
Disneyland Resort Main Entrance Ticket Booth, I strongly recommend checking for theme park reservation availability in advance, as a reservation is required for entry in addition to a ticket. If you wait until arrival, you run the risk that reservations are not available that day. Check out the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar to see what is available. If your desired date is not available right now, Hakuna Matata! It means no worries. You might just get lucky by snagging a reservation if another Guest changes plans and cancels a reservation. I have seen reservation availability change sometimes within minutes, so I suggest continuing to refresh the calendar to see if you can grab the date you want.
Another pointer about reservations and ticket types...when you purchase a
Park Hopper ticket, you are making a theme park reservation for the park you will start at. Then, after 1:00 p.m., you can hop to the other park and continue moving back and forth between the two parks as much as you want for the rest of the day.
I hope this information helps you with planning your visit. If I can offer another tip, make sure to download the
Disneyland mobile app prior to your trip. You can use the app to manage logistics such as adding the
Disney Genie+ service to access faster queues called
Lightning Lanes, as well as placing
mobile orders at quick service restaurants to avoid waiting in long lines for your Disney snacks! One of my favorite snacks is the
Mickey-shaped Beignets at the Mint Julep Bar – they are out of this world!
Sending you a pinch of pixie dust to secure the dates you’d like to visit! Have a magical trip,
Kamini
