Welcome to planDisney, Robby!
It sounds as if your planning is off to a great start. Registering for the
Disability Access Service before you head to The Most Magical Place on Earth is a great way to arrive ready to use the service and get started on having the best day ever right away. I travel with a Guest that uses this service, and I am happy to report that when you enter the parks you will be able to select a return time for an additional attraction through the
My Disney Experience mobile app. Here's how it works!
After you and your travel party have entered the park for the day you can open the app and tap the three bars at the bottom of the screen. You will see a tile for DAS toward the bottom of the screen. Select this option and find the attraction you would like to reserve. I recommend choosing your first attraction as soon as you enter the park. Add the Guests that will be entering the queue with the person using the DAS, and follow the remaining prompts to receive a return time. You will be able to view your return times throughout the day through the
My Genie Day tile. When your return time arrives, the Guest using the service will scan in first, followed by the rest of your travel party.
Pro tip: Once everyone has entered the queue you will be able to request the next return time through the app. Some attractions require you to scan at the front of the queue and again just before entering the attraction. When using DAS for these attractions you will not be able to select another return time until you pass the second scan.
I have a few additional notes that will help you plan ahead for using the DAS throughout your visit.
- When using the Park Hopper option, you will not be able to select a return time for your next park until after you enter the location.
- The two return times selected at pre-registration are one-time use. You will not be able to select additional return times after using them.
- You cannot change the attractions or times on the selections made at registration. These changes need to be made through the website at least two days in advance. Return times made in the parks can be changed or canceled at any time throughout the day, as long as you are in the park.
- Same-day selections can be accessed any time after the return time. Example: Your return time for Slinky Dog Dash is 12:55 PM. This means you can ride the attraction anytime after 12:55, up to park closing. Pre-registered selections have a one-hour return time, and you will need to access the queue before it expires.
I hope these tips help you plan the perfect itinerary during your upcoming adventure.
We'll see ya real soon!
