Bright Suns, David!
Welcome to planDisney. I see you will soon be traveling to the planet Batuu, at the edge of the galaxy. This wondrous planet offers amazing experiences like piloting the Millennium Falcon, sipping blue milk, and shopping for items that you can only find in a galaxy far, far away. While visiting, you should make a short hyperspace jump over to the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. Travelers from all over the galaxy tell me how much they love it, and I think you will as well.
Based on my research, you can book your reservation for the Droid Depot once you arrive in the US. Although not mandatory, you can check availability and book your experience using the following link for the
Droid Depot webpage. You can also use the
My Disney Experience app to search for Droid Depot; it will take you to the information page, where you can check availability. I just checked, and there are many openings for the first couple of days after your arrival, so you shouldn’t have any trouble finding a time that works best for you.
As I mentioned, the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is something you certainly will not want to miss out on. Here you will find magic in bloom at a festival full of flowers, flavor, and fun. Our family loves walking around and seeing all of the gorgeous Disney character topiaries. If music is your jam, then you will have to check out the Garden Rocks Concert Series at the American Gardens Theater. Oh, and you will absolutely have to stop by the Outdoor Kitchens to try some of the delicious food and treats.
David, I hope that you have a magical time building your very own astromech droid. Please hyperspace back by if you have any further questions, and my fellow Jedi panelist will be happy to assist you.
May the Force be with you,
Robert
