Are there any sales tax or service charges when purchasing a ticket?

Hi there, Helen, and welcome to planDisney!

We're happy to see you here and thanks for bringing your question to us. Are you thinking about purchasing some Disneyland Resort Theme Park Tickets? Oh boy! It's a great time to visit because there's never a dull moment at the Happiest Place on Earth. Just take a look at the 2024 Events Calendar and you'll see!

I'm happy to report that, when you purchase Theme Park Tickets on the Disneyland website, what you see is what you are charged. There are no additional taxes or service charges that are added to the tickets. After you've made your ticket buying decisions (number of days, Park Hopper vs 1 Park Per Day, Genie+, etc.), the final price listed will be the balance for which you are responsible. According to California Tax Law, admission to a place furnishing entertainment is not subject to sales tax. That's great because it totally helps us with our trip budget.

If you are planning on visiting sometime soon and are located in Southern California, have you considered the Southern California Resident Ticket Offer? It's wonderful deal only for residents living in appropriate ZIP codes. But hurry because this deal ends June 2, 2024 and you must have used up all your days by then.

Helen, I hope that this was helpful for you. Please return again if you have any more questions. You're always welcome at planDisney and we'd love to hear from you in the future!

Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
