Hi, Desiree! It’s nice to see you return to planDisney with your important planning question. We are happy to help you get some answers for your October sailing aboard the beautiful
Disney Wish.
It looks like you were hoping to dive under the sea with Ariel and become part of her world. I don’t blame you! I always like to check the
Prohibited Items list to see what gadgets and gizmos I should leave home. Unfortunately, propulsion swimming devices such as monofins and those included in mermaid tails may not be brought onboard and are not permitted in the pools or
Disney Castaway Cay. While you can bring mermaid tails made of fabric only onboard, they cannot be worn around the ship or on the island. It’s probably best to leave these thingamabobs at home.
There is an ocean of fun waiting for you at Castaway Cay! I suggest renting snorkeling equipment and “flippin’ your fins” in the snorkeling lagoon. You might even see some of Ariel’s beloved treasures under the sea. You can also rent a float and dip your toes in the turquoise-blue water while watching the clouds roll by. There is no need to wander around looking for food because the ship’s crew serves up a scrumptious BBQ lunch right on the island. It really is the perfect beach day.
If you want to make a splash onboard, try Chip ‘n Dale’s Pool on Deck 14 Forward. This family-friendly pool is a hidden gem. It is rarely busy and is one of the few places with full-size lounge chairs.
I know you’ll come home with a treasure trove of memories. I hope you find the perfect souvenir to add to your collection. Please swim by and see us again! It's our pleasure to help!
SEAS the adventure,
