Ahoy, Leslie!
Thanks for cruising on over to planDisney with a great question! It’s never too early to start planning for your Disney Cruise Line vacation aboard the
Disney Wish, and we're always happy to help!
Leslie, I sailed on the
Disney Dream earlier this year with my husband and three boys, so I understand the desire to use every available electrical outlet in your stateroom to ensure everyone's devices stay charged during your time at sea. While the
list of prohibited and restricted items specifically states that multi-plugs, surge protectors, power strips, and extension cords are prohibited, single outlet converters are not mentioned. I
spoke with a Cast Member by phone who said you should be fine to bring this on the cruise, as you're not trying to draw more power from the outlet but rather convert it from one plug type to another. Please keep in mind that the Chief Electrical Engineer will have the final say on which electrical items can be safely brought on the ship during embarkation.
As you continue planning for your cruise, don't forget to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. Not only will you find an adorable countdown to help you track exactly how many days until you set sail, but you can also book onboard activities and Port Adventures
when your window opens. Once you have arrived at the cruise terminal, you'll be able to view a full schedule of fun for your sailing, including character greetings, entertainment, and dining information. There is also a chat feature to help you stay connected to your travel party throughout your cruise!
I hope this information has been helpful, Leslie, and that you enjoy a wonderful vacation on the Disney Wish! If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney!
SEA ya real soon!
