We'll be sailing 2/26/21 on the Westbound Panama Canal itinerary on Disney Wonder. We last sailed on the Wonder in October 2017. What's new on the ship since then and is there anything new planned before we sail again?

    Ahoy there!

Michelle, what WONDERful news! A Panama Canal sailing is on my bucket list for sure. For good reason: the Panama Canal is listed as one of the seven WONDERs of the world! Plus, a 14-night cruise including stops in Grand Cayman, Colombia, and Mexico sounds absolutely amazing.

You are in for a real treat with all the recent refurbishments on the Disney Wonder, and I can start by highly recommending two spots exclusive to this ship! The first is the French Quarter Lounge. Get ready because there's an actual, full-sized cable car in the lounge...the same St. Charles line Tiana rides in Disney’s The Princess and the Frog. Picture coffee and beignets available for purchase in the morning, and at night, pre- or post-dinner cocktails in this charming “Big Easy” setting.

The other standout is Tiana's Place for cuisine spiced with Southern charm and toe tapping energy! This was hands down the most entertaining night of our rotational dining. From Cajun and Creole classics like Shrimp Jambalaya and Seafood Pepper Pot, bring your appetite because the food is exceptional. But be sure and leave some room for dessert...I recommend the Buttermilk Beignets or Bananas Foster Sundae! Then burn off those calories by joining the indoor street party as Tiana and Louie lead a procession to the live musical stylings of the Crawfish Crooners. It’s a fun, festive, and fabulous atmosphere!

Located near the Quiet Cove Pool on Deck 9, Cove Café also got a makeover, and this adults-exclusive venue is now even more uptight and outta sight. With comfy seating, pastries, and coffee specialty drinks topped with Mickey art, this cafe at sea has the best views of any coffee house you’ll ever see! At nighttime, it transforms into a lounge for adult beverages and appetizers. Gee, with all this talk of food and drinks, I’m hungry and thirsty!

Michelle, before you know it, you’ll be “almost there” and boarding the Disney Wonder! In the meantime, please come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have additional questions.

    Happy Sailing!
