We’re sailing on the Treasure with our 6 and 8 year-old daughters soon, and I know that sea day pools can be very busy. How would you recommend planning a fun and relaxing sea day beyond the pools?

    Hi, Kaitlin!

Welcome aboard Disney Cruise Line! The Disney Treasure is going to be an adventure for your family with so much to explore. From dining at the Worlds of Marvel restaurant to making a splash on the AquaMouse, there is non-stop fun planned during your sailing.

I love having a day at sea on my cruise line itinerary. What a perfect way to enjoy all the ship has to offer. The pools do get busy on sea days, so I suggest getting an early start. Start planning the night before your cruise by placing the breakfast room service card on your door. Order some coffee, juice, and pastries and your order will magically appear at your door during your requested time. After a quick bite to eat in your room, head to the pool and let the splashing fun begin! Early morning will be a great time to hop on the AquaMouse when the lines are shorter. Check your Disney Cruise Line Navigator App to see what time the pool areas open so you can choose your favorite loungers and settle in for a morning of pool time activities.

The pools are just the beginning of the fun offered during your day at sea. Your girls might enjoy some time in the Oceaneer's Club where they can enjoy arts & crafts, video games, movies, books, and more. Stop by on embarkation day to take a tour so your daughters can get check out the space and see all there is to do.

For lunch, head to the Marceline Market for the extensive buffet, or try something at Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods where you will find my favorite option: Mickey's Smokestack BBQ. Plan on an lunch early to avoid the crowds and find the perfect table to enjoy your mid-day meal.

In the afternoon, the family might want to take a break from the sun and see a movie! The Wonderland Cinema is one of my favorite places to take a break and relax while watching a new release (or sometimes a Disney classic film) and munch on some popcorn (theater snacks available for purchase).

However you decide to spend your magical day at sea, I hope you explore the ship, have fun, but get some time to relax as well. There will be announcements during the day with ship updates so listen for those as well as keep on eye on your Navigator App so you don't miss any "must do" activities.

Sending happy wishes to you and your family as you set sail with Captains Mickey and Minnie. Bon Voyage!

    Cathy
