    Hello, I will be sailing on the Treasure in May but, we are currently looking at a sailing on the Destiny for 2026. If I already have the reservation booked when we sail, can I still take advantage of the placeholder discount?

That’s some top-tier Disney dreaming! Let’s dive into the details of using a Placeholder Reservation for your already-booked cruise.

    Here’s the scoop: Yes, you can absolutely use a Placeholder Reservation for your Destiny sailing, but there’s a little wave to watch out for. When you apply the placeholder discount, your existing reservation will be canceled and rebooked under the placeholder terms. If the cruise fare has increased since you initially booked, you’ll need to pay the updated price (minus the placeholder discount).

    A Few Things to Keep in Mind:
    1. Blockout Dates: Placeholder discounts aren’t valid during certain times, so double-check that your Destiny sailing isn’t on the excluded list.

    2. No Stacking Discounts: The placeholder discount cannot be combined with other offers, such as Florida Resident, Military rates, or restricted guarantee staterooms. Concierge staterooms are also not eligible.

    3. Book Through the Navigator App: As you may be aware, you’ll use the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to purchase your placeholder. With your Placeholder Reservation in hand, you’ll have 24 months to apply it to a new reservation, which gives you plenty of flexibility if plans change.
