Ahoy there, Kelly! Welcome aboard planDisney from your neighbor one state to the south! I'm super excited for you and your crew to be embarking on an incredible Disney Cruise Line vacation - and over the Fourth of July holiday, too! Well doesn't that just have star spangled sailing written all over it?
Ah, Palo Brunch. It pretty much speaks for itself at this point! Palo has such a history on Disney Cruise Line, and ever since they introduced brunch, it's been even more popular - so I'm glad your crew are all thinking about how to make it happen! My favorite thing to eat is the walnut and blue cheese/gorgonzola bread, it's not necessarily everyone's cup of tea, but it's not "Palo Brunch" for me until I get it! My wife's favorites are the desserts, which is just one more example of opposites attracting I guess...but that's just how much variety you can expect!
Now where was I? Oh yeah, your question!
As with other onboard activities, Port Adventures, and treatments at Senses Spa & Salon, advanced reservations can be made when your booking windows open! This means that those in your stateroom will be able to make your reservations first at 90 days before embarkation, and those who are first-time cruisers will have to wait to book until 75 days before their sail date. Once all groups have their reservations, though, a call to a crew member to link them together should give your group a chance to sit together!
There are a few more things of which to be aware:
- Reservations are subject to availability, so there is the slight chance that by the time the first-time cruiser booking window opens, your chosen time slot will be filled at first. But don't panic! Availability tends to open up as your fellow cruisers finalize their plans, so keep checking back in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app!
- If your first timers are unable to secure a reservation before embarkation day, I'd suggest going straight to Palo as a group during embarkation day to inquire as to the latest availability and to link your reservations together!
- If your party is larger than eight adults, it's possible you may be split into separate tables, but in my experience, we've always been right next to one another!
I hope that helps you set a course for a culinary adventure you're unlikely to forget! Not only is Palo brunch delicious, but the ambiance, service, and the view are unmatched! I can't wait for you to experience this with your entire crew, and will be sending faith, trust, and pixie dust to hope it happens!
Thank you so much for your question, Kelly! If you run into any other rough seas as you continue planning, please sail our way and drop me another line here at planDisney!
Fair winds, following seas, and the best of luck!
Andrew
