Ahoy, Jeffrey!
Thank you for your question -- my family and I were just on the Disney Fantasy sailing on that same exact itinerary a couple of weeks ago. That added perk of celebrating
Thanksgiving week will be an extra dose of pixie dust! On embarkation day, your family's entry into the gangway will be announced on the ship's speakers -- and as you step onboard, you'll be getting a whiff of that fresh gingerbread house in the lobby. It smells amazing! The ship will be beautifully decorated and you'll be enjoying everything that is offered on Disney Cruise Line's
Very Merrytime Cruise festivities... you and your family will have a spectacular time!
You'll have an optional formal night on your voyage, and taking solo and family photos with the professional Photographers in the evenings will work perfectly! There will be Disney Cruise Line signature backgrounds in the lobby atrium on Deck 3 midship in the evenings. You'll also be enjoying the Pirates IN the Caribbean deck party on your voyage. It was an amazing evening on our voyage as almost 100% of the guests onboard were dressed up as pirates! It was the most participated Pirate Night that I've seen in all my Disney Cruises in the past... it was awesome! If your kids are participating in the Youth Clubs -- it will be extra fun for them, since they'll be having their own holiday themed parties and activities there. They'll want to be at the Club on the 1st evening's Ice Breaker event -- that allows them to make friends sooner than later.
Well, no one needs to worry about cooking and cleaning up for Thanksgiving. You don't even have to make your beds -- lucky! You'll be spoiled rotten and pampered onboard. Take lots of photos and enjoy all the ports!
Happy planning!
