Ahoy Elizabeth,
Welcome aboard planDisney! Thanks for asking your thoughtful question about your upcoming
Disney Cruise Line vacation. My son was also uncertain about fireworks when he was younger, so I understand and hope there’s an easy solution for you on this next vacation. The beauty of this style of vacation is that there is something for everyone while also providing many opportunities for fun together.
For your December 1, 2023 sailing on the
Disney Wish you will experience fireworks on Saturday. The evening you are in
Nassau is
Pirate Night, so you can expect a themed dinner in the main dining rooms, deck party, and fireworks. I encourage you to confirm this exact schedule and time in your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App once you flip to
“onboard mode” upon boarding the stunning Disney Wish.
Depending on your children's ages you can certainly reserve a time for them at the
“it’s a small world Nursery” onboard for this time so you and your husband can enjoy the full celebration on deck without worry. If they are between ages 3 and 12, you can bring them to the
Oceaneer Club for their own youth activities and fun during this time. This space does not require a reservation so you can drop them off before the scheduled time for the Pirate Night Deck Party and be assured they are safe and entertained to their comfort level while you enjoy the evening on deck. Both of these youth spaces close around 11:00 P.M. allowing plenty of time for pirate fun before everyone turns in for the night together.
You’re going to have an incredible time on this special voyage, Elizabeth! There’s so much already included in your sailing and with it being a special
Very Merrytime Cruise you will find plenty of holiday cheer onboard!
Please let us know what other questions you have as you finalize your plans.
Wishing you a magical cruise,
Amy
