We’re sailing on the 9 night Mediterranean cruise leaving 8 Jun 2026, what are the theme nights? Trying to plan a remy dinner that wouldn’t conflict with taking my kids to the shows!

Greetings, Emily, and welcome to planDisney! A 9-night cruise to breathtaking ports in the Mediterranean – that sounds like an absolute dream! I'm happy to share some information that might be helpful as you plan your extra activities.

Your June 2026 cruise from Civitavecchia, Italy, has a few specially themed nights planned that offer opportunities to dress up. Keep in mind that the schedule is subject to change, but as of now, here's what you can expect:

    • Day 2 (At Sea): Formal Night
    • Day 3 (Chania, Greece): Pirate Night
    • Day 8 (Valletta, Malta): Semi-Formal Night
Dressing up on these nights is optional – you can remain in cruise casual attire if you prefer! As for formal and semi-formal attire, dress pants with a jacket, a suit, a dress, or a pantsuit are recommended. You'll want to wear similar attire when you dine at Remy. A polished dress-casual look is also accepted there.

Pirate Night is so much fun – you can expect a themed dinner menu, crafts, special entertainment, and more. Some Guests go all out in a full costume, while others choose a few pirate accessories or a fun t-shirt. I can say from personal experience that dressing up definitely adds to the swashbuckling fun!

Emily, it looks like your cruise will also have the Mickey's Color Spin Dance Party on Day 7. It's a fun show that happens on the Funnel Vision Deck Stage, typically after the sun goes down, featuring dancing, upbeat music, Character appearances, bright colors, and more. I hope the Powerline song will still be part of the show when you see it!

The Disney Dream has some great Broadway-style shows in the Walt Disney Theatre, too, including Beauty and the Beast, Disney’s Believe, and The Golden Mickeys. You'll be able to get schedule details about these entertainment offerings, as well as others, in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App once you board the ship and connect to Wi-Fi. You can also check the app at that point for the most up-to-date information about dining rotations, onboard activities, and more.

Emily, I hope this information has sprinkled a little pixie dust on your plans. If you think of any other questions, please reach out – we're always happy to help here at planDisney. I hope this cruise with your kids is full of memorable moments!

    Happy cruising,
