Hi there, Samantha!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so glad to hEAR you are heading out on a Disney Cruise Line vacation! Whether it’s your first Disney Cruise or you are a Platinum Castaway Club member, there is always a reason to be excited for all the fun that awaits you onboard and at sea!
I love that you are considering spending some time at
Walt Disney World Resort before embarking on your Disney Cruise! Nothing better than some fun at the theme parks followed by relaxation and even more fun on a Disney Cruise Line ship! And after some busy days at the theme parks, you will definitely enjoy that time to relax and unwind while onboard. Unfortunately at this time, Disney Cruise Line does not offer transportation from Walt Disney World Resort Hotels to the
Port of Miami. My best recommendation to get from Orlando to Miami would be to rent a car one-way and drive yourself to Miami. Many of the car rental companies will offer a shuttle to the port, so once you turn your car in you can catch the shuttle to the port for check-in and embarkation.
If you have yet to finalize your travel plans and traveling to Orlando before your cruise out of Miami doesn’t work out this time, I recommend booking your next Disney Cruise Line vacation while on your upcoming cruise! Choose an itinerary that departs from
Port Canaveral and you can plan a few days ahead of time at Walt Disney World Resort and then catch Disney Cruise Line ground transfers from your Resort Hotel to Port Canaveral!
Wishing you a MAGICal and memorable adventure, Samantha! Please come back with any additional questions you may have!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
