    Hi We are sailing A Very Merrytime cruise over Thanksgiving. We have never sailed on a holiday cruise before and are wondering what different offerings are there for the holiday? Will there still be a pirate night? Are there any different shows, etc.?

    Hi there, Rachel!  Welcome back to planDisney. The holidays on Disney Cruise Line are a special time, and I am so happy to hear that you will experience a Very Merrytime Cruise for yourself.  Here are some things to look forward to:
    • The ship, as well as Disney Castaway Cay, will be decked out in holiday finery.
    • To start your sailing off right, there will be a tree lighting ceremony with Mickey and Minnie. There will also be plenty of opportunities to take pictures in front of the tree and the Gingerbread House in the atrium.
    • Your favorite Disney characters will be dressed in their holiday finest for pictures, so make sure you have the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app updated so you can view the character greeting schedule and all other onboard activities.
    • If you like karaoke, there will be some holiday-themed music for you to grace the audience with.  My planDisney pal Jennifer S. led us in a great group rendition of a popular holiday song last December on the Disney Dream.
    • Mickey and Minnie will also be hosting a Holiday Party on the upper decks for you to celebrate with your family, friends, and new friends you may meet on your sailing.  Get ready to sing along and dance.
    • There will be special holiday merchandise, treats, and drinks available for purchase.
    • I'm happy to share that you will also have Pirate Night!
