Sailing May 10th for 5nights on Disney Magic. Yay! Was wondering about dress for dinner - Can men wear khaki shorts or does it have to be long pants? Are there formal/semi-formal nights on the shorter cruises? Pirate night? Thanks so much.

    Yay, Deanna!

It's so exciting to hear about your upcoming magical voyage onboard the beautiful Disney Magic. Imagine - 5 nights of solid fun, entertainment and pampering. You've got the Youth Clubs at your fingertips to drop off the kids at... they're having fun, and you're having fun! No cooking... no making beds... no cleaning... is it May yet?  :-)

Your voyage will usually include a Formal night as well as Pirate Night. So come prepared and pack those bright colorful outfits for the whole family. I'm sure you'll be taking lots of pictures -- a good amount of photos to share with friends and relatives... and try to share some with us too on Twitter on #DCLPhotos. We'd love to come along on your adventure.

Dinner attire on most of the other evenings will be cruise casual. Long khaki pants and jeans will work nicely for men. A sundress or capri pants and a nice top for the women are pretty common. The main dining rooms are beautifully appointed and have crisp table linen... it really is a beautiful setting. So, you can come to dinner in the same type of outfits that you would wear when you go out to a nice dinner when you are back home. The professional photographers will also setup their signature Disney Cruise Line photo sets in the evenings. Before or after dinner, you can get some new family photos or solo shots -- these make great mementos of your Disney Cruise Line vacation.

Sending over warm weather thoughts to you in New Jersey, Deanna... we're watching the winter weather take over now. Stay warm and let us know if you have any additional questions about your cruise next year. We're always happy to help!
