Ahoy there, Caitlin! Welcome to planDisney.
I’m delighted to see you and your young sailors will be cruising on the
Disney Magic in early July! The countdown to your vacation is dwindling and I bet you’re getting excited as you line up last-minute logistics.
Debarkation day can be full of emotions as your vacation winds down; it can also be stressful with last-minute packing, corralling family members, clearing customs and getting to the airport in time for your flight. Personally, my family likes to take our time on debarkation day. As my children got older, they wanted to spend time saying good-bye to friends they have gotten to know in the
Youth Clubs. And because we always choose the second seating for dinner, our final morning’s breakfast is at a later time, beginning usually around 8 AM. If you are assigned the first seating for dinner, your last day’s breakfast will be early, around 6:45 AM. Cabanas will also be available for breakfast at your leisure, which will be open around 6:30 AM.
For Port Canaveral sailings in 2025,
Disney Cruise Line recommends the earliest departure time from Orlando International Airport is 11:15 AM. Depending on traffic, it can take an hour (or more) to travel from Port Canaveral to Orlando International Airport. Your 12:00PM flight home is likely fine based on Disney Cruise Line’s recommendation. When you do your online check-in, you will be asked to provide your travel information, including flight number and time of departure. Disney Cruise Line generally will assign a debarkation group based on your flight departure time. We like using
Disney Ground Transportation for the convenience and a smooth debarkation process. If you’re interested in adding this service, you can
call Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532 and a friendly Cast Member will gladly assist you.
