Ahoy, Lynn!
I know you must be counting the days until your October voyage on the awesome
Disney Magic! What fun to be sailing on a
Halloween On the High Seas cruise. My favorite holiday combined with my favorite vacation - I can't imagine a more fun getaway!
Disney Magic staterooms have a "cooling box" type of refrigerator, which will keep items cool, but not super cold. There is no freezer attached. Ice is available at the beverage station on the pool deck, or you can request your stateroom host to bring ice and an ice bucket. You can also order a delivery of ice from Room Service, which is complimentary and available 24 hours a day. (Tips are customary for Room Service.) One way to keep the cooling box a bit colder is to fill a zipper storage bag with ice and place it inside. Still not as cold as a freezer, but at least a bit cooler!
You are more than welcome to bring along a collapsible cooler to take ashore for beach days! We have a small soft-sided rolling cooler that we like to bring with us - it's come in quite handy when we've had beach time during our cruises!
I hope this helps answer your questions. Please come back and visit the Moms Panel if there is anything else we can help you with!
Your trip will be here before you know it - Bon Voyage! - Diane W.
