Janelle from CO Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

We are sailing on the Magic for 5 nights in March. Is there a pirate night? I'm reserving times for my kids to go to the kid's clubs but how do I know if the times will work. What if they are missing something else fun? Can we adjust times onboard?

Ahoy there, Janelle and welcome to planDisney! Permission to come aboard granted! I'm so excited that you and your crew are embarking on the Disney Magic - and in just a few weeks too! If you're anything like me and my family, you've already started packing!

Speaking of packing, get ready to pack a whole heck of a lot of Disney Magic and fun into your 5-night itinerary! From magical Character Experiences, gourmet dining, live shows and entertainment to adult-exclusive activities, treatments at Senses Spa & Salon, Cove Cafe, and the multiple lounges and nightclubs, there's so much to see and do!

With all that fun aboard, how could pirates resist? The answer is they don't - at least not on itineraries 4-nights and longer! You'll be pleased (or maybe imperiled) to know that currently your sailing is scheduled to be boarded by pirates on one of your nights - so be sure to keep a weather eye on the horizon for their colors! You also can look forward to a restaurant takeover sure to please even the most discerning pirate palate! Specific Pirate Night offerings can be found in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once you embark!

Speaking of the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app, that will also be the best way to check the schedule for onboard fun to compare what's going on around the ship to your kids' scheduled time in Disney's Oceaneer Lab, Oceaneer Club, Edge, and Vibe! I definitely understand you don't want your crew missing out on any exciting fun happening around the ship! I can tell you've already read the current Know Before You Go information, too, so you're one jump ahead!

Since our son is still a bit young to have fun anywhere other than the "it's a small world" nursery!, I sailed over to confirm with a crew member about rescheduling. Good News! If you find one of your time slots conflicts with some of your plans for family fun, you can speak with the Counselors at any of the Youth Activity Clubs to see if the time can be changed - though it is subject to availability.

While you will have to wait until you're aboard to check the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for the specific entertainment schedules, I can tell you that every time I've sailed, there have been multiple times for nearly every activity onboard! From mid-day BINGO and learn-to-draw classes, to trivia, game shows, poolside fun, and character meet-and-greets - I can honestly say I can't remember a time I've completely missed out on something! The only time I'd suggest avoiding scheduling time is between dinner and the show at the Walt Disney Theatre - the ships really do come alive during that time, and there's SO much to do around then!

Now, entertainment schedules are subject to change at any moment, but I hope this gives you the peace of mind that your little ones won't miss out no matter what your plans.

Well Janelle, that should give you a heading for plotting the best course with your crew! I wish you an incredible vacation full of magical memories! Thank you for sailing my way with your questions, and if any others come up as you continue planning please drop me a line here at planDisney!

    Fair winds and following seas!
