Hi, Jami!
Now that the new year's arrived, it's time to start counting down the days until your spring sailing with Disney Cruise Line! It won't be long until you set sail with Captain Mickey on the awesome Disney Magic. Thanks for stopping by the Moms Panel with your question!
Since Easter Sunday falls during your sail dates, you can certainly expect some holiday enhancements and special events on your cruise. While specific details haven't yet been released about your sailing, on past cruises there have been lots of fun ways to celebrate! Easter-themed crafts, face paint for the kids, and special meet-and-greets with Disney Characters have been featured on recent voyages. I love Character Greetings on a holiday - they usually have themed costumes, and it makes for a great photo op!
On recent Easter cruises, there were two religious services offered on Easter - an interdenominational service and a Catholic Mass. Since Easter Sunday falls on your debarkation day, I'm not certain when these services might be held. When you check in at the cruise terminal, you'll receive a Personal Navigator - a detailed schedule with times and locations of all the activities happening around the ship. You'll receive a Navigator each day of your cruise, so it's easy to keep up with all the fun offerings and activities. Make sure to bring highlighters so you can make notes of your "can't miss" events.
To be among the first to know about any holiday enhancements for your cruise, I encourage you to keep an eye on Disney Cruise Line's social media channels for announcements. The
DCL page on the Disney Parks Blog is an awesome source of information, as well as their
Facebook and
Twitter accounts.
Have a magical day! - Diane W.
