We are sailing out of Ft. Lauderdale April 25 - April 30 with the Destiny. My Question is: What day is pirate night?

    Ahoy there, Michael!

Welcome aboard planDisney! It sounds like you’re charting your course and tightening up that packing list, making sure your pirate garb is ready before you ever set foot on the Disney Destiny. A little planning now means you won’t be scrambling like a deckhand when the cannons start firing.

When it comes to Pirate Night (and all the other onboard mischief), schedules can shift with the tides, so I always recommend keeping one eye on the horizon and the other on your Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once you connect to the ship’s Wi-Fi. That app is your treasure map for entertainment times, locations, and all things swashbuckling.

Here’s what your current voyage is shaping up to look like. On Day 2, while you’re at sea, you’ll have an optional “dress-up” night. This is one of my favorite evenings to dress my best and grab a family photo, especially with the Grand Hall offering some elegant backdrops that feel fit for royalty before the pirates take over.

Day 3, while docked in Cozumel, is the night you’ve been waiting for: Pirate Night. That’s your cue to don your finest seafaring attire and lean fully into the theme. You can expect pirate-inspired activities throughout the day, a themed dinner menu in the main dining rooms, and a lively pirate party on the pool deck, capped off with fireworks, weather and local conditions permitting.

My crew and I recently sailed on the Destiny, and Pirate Night was a highlight. Seeing the ship’s storytellers, Zayah and Gamble, exploring the ship with Captain Jack Sparrow was a blast, especially as everyone tried to keep Jack out of trouble and away from another unwanted visit to Davy Jones’ locker. Be sure to keep an eye on your Navigator app that day so you don’t miss any extra pirate encounters or surprises hidden around the ship.

I hope this helps as you plan your high-seas wardrobe and count down the days to embarkation. With Pirate Night landing mid-sailing, you’ll have plenty of time to ease into the adventure before the ship turns full buccaneer. Until then, may your compass stay true and your treasure chest be filled with unforgettable memories.

Sea ya real soon as the adventure continues into a bright new year,
    Dustin
