We are sailing July 14-18, 2022 on the Disney Dream. Will there be a Pirate Night and/or Star Wars night on this cruise? And what night would that be? Thanks!

Ahoy there, Molly! Welcome aboard planDisney! Your carrier pigeon just landed on our decks here and looks like it may have been a bit lost for a few days. Real "any port in a storm" energy going on in that little messenger...

But now to set a course to where X marks the spot - or at least where I remember marking the map!

I have good news and less good news for you and your crew.

First, the good news: AYE THERE BE PIRATES IN THE WATERS THIS JULY ON YER DISNEY DREAM ITINERARY! In fact, as of the last time I sailed ashore to check with the crew members, currently all itineraries 4-Nights and longer are scheduled to have a Pirate Night! I know it's been a long time since the Buccaneer Bash Deck party last graced the pool decks, but between that now occurring again alongside the fireworks at sea, an incredible Pirate-themed menu in your main dining rotation, AND the return of the late-night buffet and dessert party, the pirates are back in full force aboard Disney Cruise Line!

Just remember: entertainment is always subject to change, so be sure to check the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app as soon as you board for the specific timing of the festivities! You can then plan which night to be sure to blend in with the Pirates so you don't walk the plank!

And now the less good news: your specific date does not look to have a Star Wars Day at Sea scheduled, which has previously only been offered on the Disney Fantasy, and as of this writing, are not scheduled. But be on the lookout in 2023 for Pixar Day at Sea on select sailings on the Disney Fantasy...it's going to be, shall we say, INCREDIBLE!

I hope this doesn't take the wind out of your sails too much, though, as there are two major benefits to this from where I sit: First, you won't have to avoid stormtroopers or the First Order while at sea, and two - more room for more elaborate Pirate Night costumes...or, you know, more room for souvenirs!

However you decide to take pARR-t, I hope it is everything you've DREAMed of, Molly. Thank you so much for your question, and if you have any others that surface as you continue your planning, please send another message my way here at planDisney! Oh, and by the way, your Carrier Pigeon was so incredibly tired, I think it has decided to stay a while, so maybe your next question should be sent via message in a bottle. haha!

Until next time, I'll SEA ya real soon.
