Ahoy, Jennifer!
Thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Disney Cruise Line's Youth Clubs are an amazing feature of the Disney ships, and are designed for cruisers from infants to 17-year-olds. Littlest cruisers can enjoy "it's a small world!" nursery, while children age 3 and up have access to the Oceaneer Club/Oceaneer Lab, Edge, and Vibe.
We get lots of questions regarding the age cutoffs for young cruisers, so Disney Cruise Line recently released this official statement regarding the Youth Clubs:
"Disney's Oceaneer Club/Lab - Ages 3 - 12*
Edge - Ages 11 - 14
Vibe - Ages 14 - 17
*All children must be 3 years of age or older and potty trained (able to use the restroom independently) in order to participate in the Disney's Oceaneer Club and Lab. Children 3 years of age (who are not fully potty trained) and younger may visit “It's A Small World” nursery onboard the Disney Wonder, Disney Magic, Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy." While your youngest child won't be able to join his older brothers in the Oceaneer Club during organized activities, there will be many opportunities for them to play together in the Club during Open House hours! Your little buccaneer can enjoy time in
"it's a small world!" nursery, where advance reservations are required and can be booked online before your sailing. Space is also available on a first-come, first-served basis during Open House on Embarkation Day and throughout your cruise.
I hope this helps with your planning, and that your little one has a wonderful early birthday celebration with Captain Mickey!
Have a magical day - Diane W.
