Anchors, Away!
Welcome aboard, Marrissa, we are happy you're hEAR.
Marrissa, as a fellow boy-mom who is still constantly searching for activities to entertain my two Scallywags, I appreciate your question and hope I can help in your planning.
First,
depending on the length of your cruise, some sailings do offer a
Pirate Night which is themed during your evening dinner and up on deck. Marrissa, this brings me to my first recommendation: to learn more about Pirate Night, if it will be included in your sailing and when it is scheduled, you'll want to make sure you have downloaded the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App before boarding the ship. This app will be your go-to for all onboard activities during your trip including any toddler-friendly options like
Character meet-and-greets, family crafts or even the
Youth Clubs' open house opportunities (when all ages can experience these kids-only spaces). Once you have checked into your cruise, your app will update with additional activities every day.
Next, all good pirates never shy away from a quick swim and it sounds like your little first mate is the same! Disney Cruise Line welcomes fully potty-trained preschoolers in the pools (as long as he doesn't need a swim diaper). Marrissa, check out
THIS quick link to see all of the pool and splash areas on the different ships.
Marrissa, whether you find yourself poolside daily, snapping pictures of your son hugging his favorite Disney character or even up on deck playing shuffleboard with your little cruiser, I hope you have a trip full of unforgettable moments.
If you have any additional questions, turn your wheel and set your sails on planDisney where we love to answer guests' questions even more than Jack Sparrow loves the Black Pearl.
