We'll be sailing out of Galveston on the Wonder this December. Just wondering what time the ship will be leaving port. We'll be driving from about 4 hours away, and want to make sure we don't miss the boat! Also, what about the parking?

    Ahoy again AnaRosa –
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am pleased to help you with planning for your “Wonder”ful vacation with Disney Cruise Line. My Texas crew has dreamed, planned and enjoyed many cruises on the Wonder out of Galveston, and we hope you enjoy our Texas hospitality. We usually drive down the night prior to the cruise and stay on the island because Houston traffic can be intense. If you plan to go the morning of the cruise, make sure that you factor in the traffic from Houston. One of our friends stayed in Houston the night before her cruise on the Wonder, and due to traffic, she almost missed the boat! Boarding usually begins between 11AM-12PM and according to Disney Cruise Line regulations, all guests must be onboard no later than 3:30PM. Parking is available on surface lots and garages at the Port of Galveston. I strongly advise you to book your parking several months ahead of time because it will be very difficult to secure same day parking. Visit www.Galveston.com to see the different parking options and make reservations for your upcoming trip. AnaRosa, we hope “ya’ll” have a great time here in the Lone Star State and come back to see us soon, “ya hear”?
