Hi! We are sailing for the first time in June and I am so confused about transfers to Port Canaveral. We are flying in the day before because of concerns about travel disruptions. Can we still book a transfer from MCO to the port?

Hello, Courtney! Welcome back to planDisney. It's a pleasure to see you again. I'm so happy to help you prepare for your first Disney Cruise. So many amazing memories lie in store!

I'm here to put your mind at ease that you can definitely fly in the day before your sailing, and book ground transportation with Disney Cruise Line from Orlando International Airport to Port Canaveral. Simply make your way to the airport on the morning of your cruise to Side B, Level 1 – Ground Transportation, where you can check in with a Disney Cruise Line agent and wait to be instructed to board your motorcoach to Port Canaveral. Departures begin at approximately 10:00 a.m. and continue throughout the morning till early afternoon. You can call Disney Cruise Line to make your ground transportation reservation, and I encourage you to book soon, as space can fill up quickly for this popular service.

For my first Disney Cruise, my family flew in the day before our voyage began and stayed at a hotel near the airport with a free airport shuttle. It was easy to get back to the airport the next morning to check in for our ground transfer.

If you'd like to extend the magic of Disney for as long as possible, ground transfers are also available to purchase directly from Walt Disney World Resort Hotels to Port Canaveral. Even if we don't have time to visit the theme parks, my family enjoys staying on Walt Disney World property and often spends the evening before a cruise shopping, eating, and enjoying the sights of Disney Springs.

Courtney, if you have additional questions, please cruise back to us and ask. My pals and I will be here for you!

    Happy Sailing,

    Adrianna
