Ahoy there, Ashley!
Welcome aboard planDisney! You’re just days away from your first Disney cruise—and on the
Disney Magic no less! You picked a truly “spook-tacular” sailing to start your high-seas adventures. Halloween on the High Seas cruises are full of festive fun, frightfully good treats, and Disney-style surprises around every corner. Let’s get you ready to pack your trunk like a pro so you’re perfectly prepared for every theme night!
You’re absolutely right to plan ahead. The
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app will be your most trusted sidekick—think of it as your very own Jiminy Cricket, always guiding you to the latest event schedules, dining times, and theme nights once you’re connected to the ship’s Wi-Fi. Schedules can occasionally shift like the tides, but here’s what your itinerary is currently showing:
• Day 1 (Embarkation): Cruise casual attire. Most Guests keep it comfy and relaxed as they explore the ship, grab a bite, and wave goodbye to shore. My family likes to stop by the pool deck for that first “we made it!” photo as the ship sails away.
• Day 2 (Nassau):
Halloween on the High Seas! This is when all the ghoulishly good fun happens. Expect Halloween-themed activities all day long—think spooky trivia, learn to draw events, and maybe even a villainous surprise or two. My crew loves grabbing some soft serve on Deck 9 and catching a Halloween classic on Funnel Vision before
donning our costumes for Mickey’s Mouse-querade Party. Don’t forget about trick-or-treating around the ship (bags are generally provided)!
• Day 3 (Castaway Cay): Optional Dress-Up /
Pirate Night. This is where you can really decide how to shine! If you’ve been dreaming of living your best pirate life, this is your night to “seas” the opportunity. Mickey and his crew will be decked out in their swashbuckling best, so I always recommend going full pirate for the deck party and fireworks (weather permitting). If you’d rather feel fancy, though, dressing up is absolutely fine—it’s all about what makes you feel magical!
• Day 4 (At Sea): Cruise casual, but with a twist—it’s your last night onboard, so if you want one more photo op in your favorite outfit, this is the perfect chance. The onboard photographers may have backdrops in the Atrium, and I love snapping one last family photo before the curtain closes on another memorable voyage.
I hope this helps as you get ready to embark on your first Disney cruise adventure! From the moment you step aboard and hear that signature “When You Wish Upon a Star” horn, you’ll feel the magic set sail. Before you know it, you’ll be soaking in the sunsets, singing along with your favorite characters, and already dreaming of your next voyage.
Sea ya real soon with boo-tiful nights and frightfully fun days,
Dustin
