    We are sailing on our first cruise in September and have already done the online check-in. When will we receive more info in the mail? Will they give us our room # etc.?

    Hi there, Bonnie!

    I am thrilled to hEAR that you will soon be off on your FIRST Disney Cruise Line vacation! I remember how excited I was for our first cruise and let me tell you – it won’t disappoint!  My husband was certain that we would be “one and done” with that first cruise but here we are fifteen cruises later (in less than 5 years!!) and he might be one of the biggest Disney Cruise Line fans ever!

    Approximately three weeks before your sail date, Disney Cruise Line will begin sending out cruise information booklets as well as your luggage tags that you will affix to your luggage before checking them in at the port.  I recommend waiting to attach them to your bags at the port to ensure that they do not get lost or accidentally ripped off your luggage.  If you have reserved your stateroom under the “GTY” category and are awaiting your stateroom, they are usually assigned about a week or so before, but it could be earlier than that or it could be later!  You should receive an email when it has been assigned, but on previous occasions I have logged into my account and noticed that a room had been assigned so I suggest checking there periodically to see if one has been assigned!  To do this, click under “View Details” on the “My Reservations” page.

    In the meantime, be sure you’ve reserved any onboard activities that you want to do during your sailing and continue exploring the ship online to learn about all the fun and exciting activities awaiting you at sea and at port!
