We are sailing on the Fantasy soon. My 5, 3 & 1 year olds haven't seen a lot of Disney stuff. What are the best shows/movies to show them so they will recognize things on board? I know there is some Dory stuff & Mickey & friends. What else?

    Hi Jennifer!

I love that you want your little ones to be prepared when it comes to all of the fun they're going to experience on your Disney Cruise Line vacation. I'm happy to share what movies and characters to familiarize them with before you set sail on the Disney Fantasy!

In the Oceaneer Club, where your older two can go to interact and play with other young cruisers in the care of the amazing Youth Counselors, there are several themed areas: Andy's Room (Toy Story), Pixie Hollow (Tinker Bell), Star Wars, and Marvel. While your kiddos may be too young for Star Wars and Avengers, I'd definitely recommend watching Toy Story before you sail (there will also be Meet and Greets with Toy Story characters)!

With a Main Dining restaurant (Royal Court) based on classic Disney princess films (Cinderella, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Beauty and the Beast and Sleeping Beauty), and lots of opportunities to meet the Disney Princesses (including the popular Princess Gathering), you'll want to make sure they're familiar with Disney royalty. Let's not forget Anna and Elsa from Disney's Frozen, who also have a special Meet and Greet!

For dinner at Animator's Palate, you'll want to make sure they've seen Finding Nemo. There's an interactive dinner show that features Crush, the sea turtle with the surfer accent! There's also a play area on the pool deck, Nemo's Reef, based on the movie.

Another Disney film I'd recommend is Peter Pan. Pirate Night is so much fun, and the characters from the story play a role in the Deck Party that evening. Captain Hook, Smee, and Peter Pan are available for photos on Pirate Night, as well as Mickey Mouse and his friends in their favorite pirate gear.

Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto and Chip & Dale are always featured characters on a Disney Cruise, so tune in to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on the Disney Channel to get to know them better!

    I hope this helps! - Diane W.
