Ahoy, Janet!
Welcome aboard planDisney! I can already tell that you and your crew are ready to set sail to
infinity and beyond on the Fantasy. And since you’ll be sailing during a Pixar Day at Sea, you’ve picked a cruise that’s practically bursting with adventure around every corner!
When it comes to schedules, appearances, and fireworks, remember that everything is always subject to change, so once you’re onboard, the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app will be your treasure map to all the magic. That said, let’s dive into what your sailing is currently shaping up to look like!
First, let’s talk Pixar pals! Day 2 at sea is scheduled as your
Pixar Day at Sea, and while I can’t guarantee which characters will pop up, in the past I’ve seen friends from Monsters, Inc., Toy Story, Inside Out, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, and more out and about. Imagine grabbing a hug from Sulley or a high five from Mr. Incredible—it’s like Andy’s toy box spilled right onto the ship! The day usually includes a Pixar-themed dinner menu across the rotational dining rooms and then an incredible deck party that lights up the night. Weather permitting, you can expect fireworks to close out the celebration in true Disney style—because no one does “boom” better than Disney.
On Day 3,
when you’re at Lookout Cay, the suggested attire is an optional “dress-up” night. Whether you want to channel your inner royalty with something elegant or keep it simple like Mike Wazowski (he only needed one eye-catching outfit!), it’s completely up to you.
Day 4 brings you to Castaway Cay, and that evening is when you’ll trade your sea legs for pirate hooks—it’s
Pirate Night! The ship will transform as buccaneers big and small join the fun. A pirate-themed dinner menu is typically served, and if Disney keeps to tradition on this itinerary, you’ll get a second night of fireworks to make the sky sparkle brighter than Captain Jack Sparrow’s treasure. (Weather permitting, of course—sadly, even Captain Barbossa can’t control the seas!)
This itinerary is packed with excitement. Beyond the character meet-and-greets, keep an eye on your Navigator app for Pixar-themed activities, games, and shows. Some of the best moments are the ones you stumble upon, like watching the kids dance with Dug from Up or joining in on an activity that makes you feel like you’ve been transported into a Pixar short.
I hope this helps you picture all the magic waiting for you onboard. You’re in for a cruise that blends high-seas adventure with heartwarming Pixar stories in a way only Disney can pull off.
Sea ya real soon as summer waves goodbye and autumn magic begins to shine,
Dustin
