Sailing eastern Caribbean in sept 15'. I have never cruised before and I know a lot can be linked to my key to the world card, but how much cash should we plan on bringing. What can we expect to need it for? I did the prepaid gratuities already. Thanks

    Ahoy, Camryn!

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great question. Your cruise is coming on its final countdown - are you excited yet? If you've never cruised before, there are tons of people out there who will agree... you've picked an awesome first cruise to be on. Cruising with Disney allows you and your family to enjoy a vacation with top notch quality, service, style and comfort that only Disney can provide. Just be warned - you might get hooked!

There's a lot already included in the base cost of your cruise. As you may already know, it's a cash-less system onboard, so everything will be charged on your Key to the World Card. You can leave your purse, credit cards and cash in your stateroom. Your Online CheckIn process will require a Credit Card to be on file. It will be attached to your Key to the World Card. You can assign who in your stateroom will have charging privileges... so your kids don't go crazy shopping onboard :-). We usually keep our cards in lanyards during our cruise. It's convenient and we've never lost a card yet. We even have a designated hanger in the stateroom.

The following items will be optional charges for you on your vacation: Port Adventures, Alcoholic & Specialty Beverages, Spa services, Palo or Remy dining, Photography and Internet/Online Packages, Arr-cade, Laundry, Nursery hours, Gratuities and any shopping onboard. There are snacks & popcorn by the theater that's also available for purchase. If you reserve any adult or child specialty activities onboard, there might also be a fee.

I hope this helps, Camryn. Let me know if you've got any other questions that we can help with.

    Have a great day!
