Hi! We are sailing on the Dream in November and I have booked my 2. yr old in the Nursery for a couple of hours and am worried about him crying. Our older kids will be in the Oceaner's Club. Is there any way of him joining them? His birthday is December

    Ahoy, Claudia!

Your vacation is just around the corner! It won't be long before you're stepping onboard the Disney Dream, hearing the cast members announce your arrival. From the very start of your vacation, you're treated like a VIP, and it continues throughout your cruise!

I understand your concern about your youngest child spending time in It's A Small World Nursery, away from his siblings. Unfortunately, children must be three years old and fully potty trained to visit the Oceaneer's Club. These are the official guidelines from Disney Cruise Line:

    Disney's Oceaneer Club/Lab - Ages 3 - 12*
    Edge - Ages 11 - 14
    Vibe - Ages 14 - 17

*All children must be 3 years of age or older and potty trained (able to use the restroom independently) in order to participate in the Disney's Oceaneer Club and Lab. Children 3 years of age (who are not fully potty trained) and younger may visit Flounders Reef Nursery onboard the Disney Wonder, or “It's A Small World” nursery onboard the Disney Magic, Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy.

I encourage you to check out the nursery on your first afternoon onboard. Once you see the facilities and meet the counselors, it should set your mind at ease about your son spending time there. You'll be amazed at the cleanliness and well-organized play areas. They have several identical toys for the kids to play with, so there's no need to fuss over sharing favorites - they have plenty for everyone! Our daughter had just turned two on our first cruise, and we had a wonderful experience with the nursery onboard. One evening, when we came to pick her up, Mulan, in full costume, was rocking her to sleep - a magical moment we'll never forget!

I hope you have a most magical time on your Disney Cruise! - Diane W.
