We are sailing on the Dream in July. My 8 year old son is a foodie. Can he order or try a few things off the adult menu? I'm a coffee drinker. What can I expect on the ship? Are there differences between what is served at the restaurants & room ser

    Ahoy, Cindy!

Your magical voyage is here, so I'm sure your whole crew is bouncing with excitement. There's lots of fun to look forward to, and food tops the list onboard Disney Cruise Line. You really cannot go hungry on this vacation. There are plenty of choices all day (and all night) long.

When you dine at one of the beautiful restaurants, anyone in your family can order anything on the menu -- kids menu or adult menu! There's something special on the menu each and every night, so make sure to check it all out. Our dining team always sets out the kids menu as well as the adult menu, since they know that we like seeing all the food choices. My kids also have a habit of ordering something from the regular menu -- it's a must that they try something new at each trip. But guaranteed on each trip, they still order Mickey pasta and I order the chicken noodle soup from the kids menu :-).

If you are a big coffee drinker, I highly suggest that you visit the Cove Cafe - it's the adult exclusive cafe onboard, and they've got a great selection of specialty cafe drinks. Specialty drinks at the Cove Cafe are at an additional cost, but you'll like the boost if you're looking for more than just your regular cup of joe. They also have snacks, desserts or appetizers (these change every few hours) that you can eat while relaxing - or feel free to take it out poolside too. There's no charge for the food of course. The Vista Cafe offers a good selection too, and is right at mid ship. The beverage stations on Deck 11 offers coffee anytime too. For early mornings, I like getting room service to deliver my coffee - freshly brewed coffee right on the balcony is a great way to start your day! Bon voyage, Cindy! ~Dolly
