Sailing 6/22 on the Dream to the Bahamas (2 weeks to go!!). Live in SWFL. Rain/Thunder Storms almost every afternoon for last few weeks. Looks like the same in Bahamas p/WC on my Smartphone. Is it usually the rainy season in June for this itinerary??? :-(

    Ahoy, Mary!

I'm so sorry to hear there's rain in your Bahamas forecast! It's never fun to plan for a tropical, warm vacation and then have Mother Nature send you some not-so-great weather. The Islands of the Bahamas experience rain all year round. The good news is that rain showers in the Bahamas usually pass quickly, or the captain can sail right past them and head for clearer skies. If you do experience rain showers, let's hope they're quick and fast-moving, and will make way for sunshine on your vacation!

In the event of rain when you're in port - if the weather plays a factor in the cancellation of any Port Adventures, your money will be refunded to your stateroom account. If it's raining on a day you planned to spend lounging on the pool deck, no worries - there's lots to see and do all over the ship! There are always fun activities and events to participate in, regardless of the weather. The cruise staff will sometimes add special activities if needed, to make sure guests are entertained throughout the day.

One thing I've learned about the weather, is that a forecast can change in an instant. On my last visit to Walt Disney World, the weather report predicted rain every day. The ponchos were packed, and I anticipated some wet, miserable moments ahead. Just like that, the forecast changed, and rain chances were dropped to less than 10%. We enjoyed beautiful weather throughout most of our vacation! My fingers are crossed for you that the weather plays nice, and you're blessed with sunshine and clear skies when you sail.

Have a magical day, and best wishes for an awesome Disney Cruise Line vacation! - Diane W.
