I will be sailing on the Disney Treasure soon and would like information on the WiFi packages. Are there any places on ship where I can access free WiFi? Thank you!

    Ahoy there, Teresa!

How exciting that you’re going to be sailing on board the Disney Treasure soon! I just debarked the Disney Treasure a week ago, and I’m already counting down until I can go back! It’s a beautiful ship filled with adventurous details throughout, plus the beautiful decor made for some incredible photo backdrops and Disney cruise selfies!

Speaking of Disney cruise selfies, I see that you’re asking about the Wi-Fi on board. You’ll be happy to know that Wireless Internet Access is offered on board all Disney cruise ships, and I’m happy to walk you through the different options!

The Wi-Fi on board will let you do the same things you would on land, such as use social media, check email, browse search engines, and, yes, post those TREASUREd selfies! However, how you use it depends on which Wi-Fi package you choose, as different packages offer different features. One allows you to browse emails, search engines, and social media. Another offers the same features, plus you can also stream music and movies. The internet package that’s right for you will depend on what you’re planning to use it for.

To purchase the Wi-Fi once on board, log in to the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App and then tap “Connect to Internet”. From there, you will be able to see the different Wi-Fi packages and pricing options. Pricing depends on the internet package chosen, the devices being connected, and the number of days purchased.

While there isn’t a place on board that offers complimentary Wi-Fi, usage of the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App is complimentary and offers a variety of onboard features. Using it, you can chat with fellow Disney cruisers, see the daily activities, ship’s map, restaurant menus, your cruise photos, and the latest and greatest feature: stream favorite Disney movies and TV shows right to your cell phone!

For me, WhatsApp messaging also worked on board without Wi-Fi, and I was able to chat with family back home, as well as use the Wi-Fi offered by my cell phone provider during port days. Therefore, it's worth checking with your cell phone provider before sailing to see if you’ll be able to do both.

I did not purchase the internet package while I was on board the Disney Treasure, and I was able to do a lot during the week without it! I chatted with family both on board and back home using WhatsApp. On port days, I checked emails, posted on social media, and my kids caught up with their online homework. The Disney Cruise Line Navigator App provided me with all that I needed on board, including a favorite Disney movie streamed right to my phone during my morning workout at the Fitness Center (if you’re curious, I streamed “George of the Jungle” and might have actually been laughing out loud!).

Teresa, I sincerely hope you found this information helpful and provided you with the answers you were SEAking. I wish you beautiful memories during your cruise that you will Treasure always. Please sail back here if you have any more questions.
