Sailing on the Disney Magic May 2012. We have an 18 month old. My husband and I are planning on doing a shore excursion in Atlantis (4 hours) and some sightseeing in Key West, (+/- same time). Can we leave her at the nursery the whole 4 hours in a row? THX

    Hi, Gloriana!

You are going to have the time of your life aboard the Disney Magic next spring. In short, you can leave your little princess in Flounder's Reef Nursery for the time you and your husband are ashore.

    More Disney Cruise Nursery Tips:

Pre-book your set amount of nursery time online before sailing -- 18 hours for 7-night cruises. Book your maximum amount before Embarkation Day as they book up quickly. You can always cancel any unwanted reservations later.

Make reservations in the port terminal prior to boarding, during open house on Embarkation Day, during normal hours of operation, or by calling from your stateroom or Wave Phone. You can reserve more than your set amount of nursery time, if available.

Cost is $6 per hour for the first child, $5 per hour for each additional sibling.

Cancel reservations by contacting the nursery 4 hours prior to your reserved time. A cancellation fee of 50% of your scheduled time will be charged to your stateroom account if you do not cancel 4 hours prior.

If the nursery staff needs to contact you while your child is in their care, they will call your Wave Phone -- which rings to your stateroom/voice mail if there is no answer. Wave Phones have a limited range off the ship so you may want to leave information about your Port Adventure should there be an unlikely emergency.

The nursery only provides solid food to children. For babies who do not eat solid food, you provide your own baby food or formula.

Don't forget to bring: diapers/pull-ups, wipes, extra set of clothing/PJs, bottles, baby food, sippy cups, milk/formula, security items (blankets, pacifiers, etc).

Let me know if I can give you any other helpful hints or tips or write back if you have additional questions. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
